But now, it’s awesome! I am loving this feeling. I’m not able to work full time anymore (my doctor is getting worried about pre mature delivery) so I’m home more and I am getting so much done. Not only have I been able to deep clean the house (it needed it) but I’ve been able to keep it clean. I’ve started to cook again, nothing special but Mark can’t complain. And I’ve started working on projects that I have had lying around my sewing room for a long time. I’m not only working on things, I’m finishing them too.
I’ve finally made the head board for our bed. Yes, we’ve been married for a year and a half and yes, we’ve been out of school for a year now. I know it’s about time that Mark and I stopped living like we were in a college dorm in some kinda floating bed. This is something that I learned off of HGTV that I was able to do for about $30. It will do till Mark wins the lottery and we can get a nice bed frame and a king size bed.

I also finally got around to making the quilt for our bed. I’ve been wanting to make a quilt for us since we got engaged but have been way too busy making things for everyone else. Granted this is just the quilt top but this finished product is going to be a while coming, do you know how expensive it is to get a queen size quilt quilted? It’s a lot.

I’ve also been working on a quilt for our sweet baby. It’s an ABC quilt of animals. Each letter has a matching lettered animal wrapped around the letter. It’s been a lot of fun for me. I’ve been sick in bed this past weekend but I’ve still had a little energy and I’ve been able to work on it from bed. Now, I’ve got to be at the machine stitching around each fabric and shape. It’ll take a while but I’m so finishing it.
I’ll keep you posted on the baby’s room too. I’m sewing all the bedding and things in it but not till I’m done with the ABC quilt. I’ve got some pretty big plans for the room but I don’t want to write anything yet, if I do I might not do it. I will say it’s going to be a jungle theme in mainly green. We’re so excited for the baby. I’m so glad I have so much to do, if not, I’d go nuts with excitement. Mark’s glad pregnancy lasts so long so he can store up on sleep since it wont come his way too much after he’s officially a father.

Let me know if you want me to send some animal wall clings. Also, Lindsey and I made these really cute animal wall things while she was here. I think you'd like them. I'll send a picture when I get my camera. They only cost about $2 each and are SUPER easy and cute.
Oh My Goodness! That is gorgeous!! I love the headboard! Way Cute quilt idea too!
LOL... Oh Caroline, i hate to be the one to tell you this, but it is NOT going to be Mark that will be losing out on sleep. I am afraid that is all you :)
Love all your projects... they look great!
BTW, I absolutely LOVE the headboard. I wish I could do something like that. We'll have to chat on the phone so you can tell me how you did it. We don't have a bedframe, or endtables, or dressers for that matter. Once you have kids, they get all the furnature . . . I'm sure we'll buy some one day. (When Isaac wins the lottery.)
I hate to tell you but after the second trimester when I was in my third all i wanted to do was sleep... Maybe you will be different but that's what scares me about having another one. Who's going to take care of the first one? I guess you just do it.
your headboard is so awesome, and who knew that you could do that for so little. also totally jealous of your cute cute cute baby quilt. you'll have to make sure that you put up a pic as soon as it's done. You're my favorite.
