This past weekend we went to Arizona for Mark to interview at ASU.
We are still waiting to find out if he got in but we had a great time while there.
It's a 12 hour drive so we thought we would try to do most of the driving in the middle of the night when Scott sleeps so we wouldn't have to stop every few hours to feed him.
This worked out well except for us not sleeping.
Oh well, we arrived at the Grand Canyon early in the morning and it was so cold.
There was still snow on the ground there.
Crazy, I honestly didn't know that in snowed there or anywhere in Arizona for that matter.
We fell in love with Flagstaff that we drove through both ways; it's this forested city that was getting snow when we were going down there.
It was beautiful there and now I want to move to Arizona so bad and I want a cabin in Flagstaff that we can stay at in the summer when it gets too hot in Phoenix.
A girl can dream can't she.

Scott got bored of watching us eat so he thought he'd try eating his sock. It's one of his favorites.

It's so different then the temples we are used to but it's so beautiful and has a wonderful spirit around it too.
Scott, oh so tired from his first vacation.He was laying there playing then we look over and he pulled his blanket over himself and fell asleep.
He was such a trooper the whole way.
We had such a great time.
Mark enjoyed the tour of the campus and was impressed with all that he saw and heard.
While there we didn't get an overwhelming feeling that this is where we had to be but we got the feeling, "yeah, we could live here".
Now that we've been home for a few days I've been wanting to go back.
People try to tell me that it's too hot there but I love the heat.
It's wait and see time and I'm sick of it already.
I just want to know and start moving forward.

OKay we live in AZ (tucson, which is abot 1 1/2 hours South of mesa) and WE LOVE IT! The heat is brutal at first, but no worse than a Utah winter. But seriously the other 7 or 8 months of the year are HEAVEN. And I have to agree Flagstaff is beautiful, but it can get cold there thats for sure. Let me know if you end up moving there, we could get together sometime. I would love to catch up.
