For most of you reading this (if anyone, really) October 31st is Halloween. Which it is for me as well, but I guess what I’m trying to say is that it is so much more for the McEvoy clan. October 31st is my niece, Natalie Anne's, Birthday. She gets to dress up and go get lots of candy for her birthday. If only it was always that way for all our birthdays. When Natalie was born I was a senior in high school. It was a very hard year for us before and we really weren’t prepared or should I say expecting what Natalie would mean to us. You see Natalie’s father hasn’t been around and my sister Anne has done an amazing job raising her with some annoying help from her siblings. We all have a special place in our hearts for Natalie. We try so hard to make her life as good as we can to compensate for not having her father around. When I first found out she was a Halloween baby I called making her costume every year as part of my contribution. She gets to pick out what she wants to be and I have to try to make it for her and not let it be like anyone else’s. She has been a violet, Raggedy Anne, Sleeping Beauty, Minnie Mouse, a tabby cat, a dead bride and a pirate. Incase you were counting, that was seven, which means that this year she turned 8. Not only was she a very scary vampire but the next day she switched gears completely and was baptized. I got to make her dress for that and my dad, her grandpa, baptized her. I am so proud of my little bucket that I couldn’t help taking tons of pictures of her. It is just such a wonderful time in life. A time to celebrate.

She's getting so big. I can't believe she's 8. I remember when she was born. She turned into quite the beautiful girl. She's lucky to have such a wonderful family around her.
She is so cute and you are a very loving Auntie to make her cosumes and her baptism dress. You are so sweet.
