We had a great Halloween this year.
I had a really hard time figuring out Scott's costume.
We were originally going to make a Buzz Lightyear costume.
But I couldn't get the pattern I wanted on ebay.
I kinda wanted to do Woody but he has a love hate relationship with him.
Then I thought Kung Fu Panda which he has lately become OBSESSED with.
But that didn't seem fun for me to sew.
And NO, we do NOT buy costumes!
So I went a completely different route.
My favorite costume as a kid was being a 50's girl so I decided we would be a 50's family.
Meet my little greaser.
I made him a leather (pleather) jacket.
And did greased his hair all up.
Kinda hard for a kid who hates having his hair combed.
I really should have cut his hair a long time ago but right when I realized what he was going to be I let it grow out just so we could style it like this.
We borrowed my dads old letter man jacket from high school for Mark to wear.
He even greased and parted his hair.
He's the Square Jock.
I made myself a 50's poodle skirt like my mom used to make us.
EASY!
If anyone wants to make it let me know.
While we let Scott's hair grow out for his costume, I cut my bangs so I could look even more square.
Square couple with our rebellious greaser son.
We got 2nd place at the ward Halloween party, beat by Woody and BoPeep.
I also made Maia a Jesse costume.
Very simple but I think it is still cute.
And of course one for my Bucket.
She chose to be Dorathy this year.
Happy Birthday Natalie, love you sweety.
And the girls.
We dressed up as cute girls, how'd we do?
