The Finished Bathroom

So the never ending bathroom is no more. It is now the finished bathroom. Mark and I are officially done with our very first home improvement project. We bought the home with it only having 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms. The basement wasn’t really counted as anything except that it was 95% finished. That 5% that wasn’t finished was the bathroom. The previous owners had been using the basement as soccer sports bar. Our next project will be to add a closet in the room so it can officially be called a bedroom. By so doing we will be able to sell the house as a 4 bedroom 3 ½ bathroom home and thus up the resell value, hopefully.

Through the years I have seen my parents work together side by side. My mom works harder then most women do in home repairs and projects. And my dad does his job of doing whatever my mom tells him to do which is usually using the saw or things with a blade because my mom is afraid of that stuff. Well I just figured that that was the norm; however, my mom has trained my dad to be so obedient. Mark catches onto most things easily and quickly, and he did catch onto all the jobs that he had to do, that is, all but the most important, listening to his wife. He still needs a few more lessons in learning when wife isn’t happy, life isn’t happy. He is so much like my dad in other respects that I hope it won’t be long before he finds this to be a complete truth.
