The best part of our December was our anniversary on the 19th. That’s right, Mark and I are no longer newlyweds. We have been married for a year. I don’t want to jinx us but if what people say is true that the first year is the hardest then forever is going to be a cake walk, because it’s been the best year of our lives. I love being married. Mark is so easy to get along with, and we all know that I’m not so much, he really is so amazing. I would say more but we’re, or I should say, I am so corny and so madly in love with that kid that I’d make you all throw up so I’ll stop about the 19th.
The other thing about December is the shopping. I know everyone has had to shop this month but not all of you work in a retail store. I held off so much of my shopping till the last few days just because I was sick of being in stores. There has been so much drama going on at Jo Anne that I can’t take it anymore. So if anyone knows of any good jobs opening for hire let me know.
Mark and I spent the 24th and the 25th at my parents house this year. It was great because my whole family was there with us. We had so much fun. One of the greatest parts was finally playing in my mom’s present. She finally got something that she has been dreaming about for as long as I can remember. She got an endless pool! It’s been under construction for about a month now but it was finally ready for the splashing for Christmas. In case you don’t know what an endless pool is it’s kind of like a treadmill for swimmers. You swim in a small pool in place. How does one swim in place? Well there’s a huge fan that you can adjust the speed so that one can swim as fast or as slow as you want. It’s really very cool to swim in and you can just chill and relax in it or you can splash around and play in which is primarily what I did with my nieces and nephews. It was a lot of fun.
With all that comes new years. My parents came over for new years, well for a few hours anyway. They left at about 8:30 pm and I fell asleep by 9:30 pm. I know that is so sad but in my defense I wake up at 4:30 every morning for work and I go to sleep at about 8:30 normally at night. Mark tried to wake me up and apparently I was dreaming I was mad at him because I started yelling at him a bunch of jibberish that didn’t make sense. Oh well, who says you can’t welcome the new year at 6 am on January 1st ? I got to sleep in on my day off, it was so nice.
