Baby's First Pictures

That’s right everyone. We finally have pictures. After 13 ½ weeks we were able to go see our sweet baby. It was so amazing.
So Mark was able to get a few hours off work and come with me. He hasn’t been able to come with me to any of the appointments because he has been so sick for seriously the past month (now that he’s better he has to work up his PTO again). But he came, all the doctors and nurses were saying how cute we are, but we always get that ;) The baby was laying the wrong way, with the back towards my stomach so the nurse starts taking the wand thing and jabbing my stomach with it, that was a real treat. But my baby is very much like his daddy who is very stubborn in his sleep. Well her jabbing didn’t work so she told me to go pee and get all the water that I’d been drinking for the ultra sound out of my system. I come back and she does the jabbing thing again. Still wont move, I’m telling you that if this baby really does get his dads sleeping habits I’m set, because Mark’s favorite thing ever is sleep, he likes it more then paintball and biking. The baby would not move so once again I went pee. She told me to start touching my toes a few times too. It was kinda weird. Anyway, after a lot more jabbing the baby finally turned. It was incredible. This tiny little baby that is only 3.5 inches long was moving around, it’s tiny arms and legs, it’s just so weird and crazy and, ok I’ll say it, miraculous. Mark finally got to hear the heart beat and looked at me like I was some crazy nut case that had an alien growing inside of me. After he realized that I knew what he was thinking he took another look and we both saw a little something, something. It wasn’t hard for us to tell with all the moving. It was so surprising because we didn’t think we would find out for like another 2 months. But all the same there it was. We always new we wanted to find out but WOW! So here’s the news…
It’s a Boy!This picture is of his butt and under legs. Our nurse was saying that like a true male he has his hand close by his wee wee. Luckily Mark isn't home to see me writing that. Holy cow! I always wanted boys, little boys that would be just like Mark. You know with it being a boy, fingers crossed, he’ll get his fathers brains, temperament, and eyes and may be he’ll miss his dad’s sarcasm. Probably not. Oh well, he’ll be ours and we already love him. I’m so excited. I’m sorry that all I ever blog about is the baby but It’s all I think about anymore, I’m so boring. This is his strong leg. I'm also hoping that the baby will have his daddy's legs, Mark has the cutest manly legs. He's going to be such a good daddy.

I agree, Mark does have the cutest manly legs. This is Matt, by the way.

Congratulations! Boys are so much fun. I want my last one to be another boy. I'm so excited for you. Thanks for the talk the other day. I really needed to hear some of the weight things you said. You really helped me take a look at myself and try and be more comfortable in my skin. :-)
