A few things that will be consistent no matter where we go.
- We will be moving out of our house and getting a less expensive apartment closer to campus. We will rent our house out so if anyone knows anyone...
- We will be selling one of our cars and thus only have one car.
- We hope to be able to raise our family in Utah (not to say that we might enjoy an adventure for a few years outside in the beginning).
- We will be living off student loans. I might try to find a little something but my job will be taking care of Scott.
- We are going to try like the dickens to keep our Eddie Dog with us.

- Mark thinks as of now he would want to go into hospital administration afterwards.
- We could rent out our house in the beginning of the summer and save a little extra money before school (money is a HUGE deal for Mark and although student loans are inevitable he wants to save as much as possible).
- The assistantship would be very helpful.
- Close to both of our families (also saves us money so we wont have to travel to see them for holidays).
- Close to our house so we wouldn't have to pay an agency to keep it rented.
- Good football program (no matter where we go Mark will become a fan of their sports program. That's right Matt you could have an ally while bantering with my dad)
- We would apply to local businesses for jobs thus staying in Utah.
- We are used to the weather here.

- They have a real estate emphasis that Mark would want to go into. We both LOVE the idea of buying and selling and renting and fixing up houses.
- The weather would be warm all year round (I love hot weather. Love it)
- Mark would be able to ride his bike to campus potentially every day and thus less complication with one car.
- Family would come visit us (my parents have become excited about that idea)
- I really would love an adventure outside of Utah. Arizona is just far enough where we're still kinda close. Two years is a good amount of time to figure out if we would want to live outside of Utah or not (it'd be good to get out of our comfort zone).
- The price isn't that big of a difference (Mark worked to numbers and if we stayed at the average it wouldn't take to pay off the extra debt).
- Better program then U of U.
Please let us know if any of you have pro's or con's for us about the schools and don't forget to vote on our pole to the left. We'll keep you notified of any new developments.

Pro for the UofU: the Pollards live in Utah!
Just kidding:) What a hard decision. Don't forget to pray long and hard. Good luck with your decision.
My opinion if matters at all.... I mean who am I? But...
I voted for Arizona. If you want to ultimately live in Utah and raise your family here then why not go and have a fun adventure beforehand for a few years. When else will you have that chance. Plus you said it is a better program, I think. It sounds so exciting to take your cute little family on to a new place for a couple years.... kinda makes me jealous. :)
Hey! so here's my 2 cents. Living outside of Utah is a great experience. You will love a new adventure. BUT, not being by family is hard and I think more hard when you have kids. It's only a short time though, so it may be worth it. But I would love to live by family now that I have a little one on the way, that's the worste part. It is a hard choice.
I say Arizona- go where you can get the best training and now is a good time to have an adventure!
Tough decisions. just a little over a year ago we were doing the same thing! I will tell you this- graduate school is hard, it is hard on him and it will be hard on you and Scott. If you can't handle being in a new place, doing ALOT of things by yourself, and just being alone alot, then i would recommend staying close to your family. But, if you are ready for an adventure, to branch out, to see how strong you really are- then go for Arizona! We LOVE living in CA... it has been such a growing experience for both of us. There are hard days, and then really hard days, and then good days thrown in. I know you will make the best decision for your family... Good Luck!
Pros for going to the U.
#1- Jill is there!
What more do you need?
Plus, I think the Ute logo is much cuter than the devils logo.
