Thou Shall Not Covet Thy Neighbors Speakers

It was a Thursday evening. Mark and I were getting ready to go camping with my family. As I would finish packing a bag, Mark would take it out to his car and put it in. There was clearly not going to be enough room for the speaker to be in the car so he took it out and set it against the wall in our garage. As we were finishing packing we needed to say good bye to our sweet Eddie. I had the pillows in one hand and our snacks in the other and Mark was about to head up stairs for one last thing. But right then we realized that our dear sweet Eddie had left a present for us in the TV room. “It’s your turn, I did it last time,” I tell him. I then turn to Eddie and tell him it was a bad choice as Mark gets a plastic bag from the kitchen and comes back to start to clean it. “I’ll be waiting in the car.” I then proceed to open the door and see a kid picking up Marks speaker in the garage. My first thought was, “Is this normal?” The moment I realized it wasn’t I yelled “HEY!” and step outside as if I’m about to chase him, then I realize, “Oh wait, I’m just a girl.” But Mark comes zooming out faster then I’ve ever seen him run. Right when the kid sees Mark he drops the speaker and runs (yes, he was still trying to take the speaker when he thought it was only me). Mark is right on the guys’ heel and I’m afraid that he’s about to beat him up so I yell for him to get the license. Mark is right there when the guy jumps in the back of the truck and is able to read it perfectly. He starts yelling it out as I scramble for a pen and paper from my purse. In all my stupidity and crazy pms agitations I have never seen Mark so mad. He was shaking with rage as he dialed 911 and reported the crime. By the time the police got to our place another officer was already at the registered owners of the license we reported. They had gone strait home and the police had three men for us to i.d. We just stayed in the cop car while at their house and told them who had done it. They couldn't see us though. By the time we got home the officer informed us that the boy who I i.d.ed had finally confessed, they were just waiting to find out who the driver was. He told us that most times people don’t have half as much information as we were able to give them. Everything went like clock work and that’s how I know that Heavenly Father was truly watching over us and pushed me out the door when I did. He helped Mark to run out the door like he did and see the license plate number. We are so blessed that nothing was taken and they were able to catch the people that did it.

i have a feeling you wrote some of the things on the blog to elicit a response from me. that is okay, i will keep silent and hope in the pride of a father that jeddy is better at sports than me. his name is jeddy, not jed. just like my name is Ben, not booboo.
funny story, hope that noone else tries to steal your nice stuff.
