The Ladies

I always hate when Mark is gone.
He is my best friend and I love when he's home with Scott and I making us feel safe and happy.
Well with him being gone on his trip and me not having any control over that I thought it the perfect time to go visit my old roommate, Brandi, who lives in St George.
Our other roommate, Jill, came with.
The timing was perfect since Mark was gone, Jill was just finishing a semester of her doctorate, and Brandi didn't have family over that weekend.
There are trips that are so fun to plan and you get so excited about all the fun you're going to have that they end up not being as great as anticipated.
This was not that kinda trip.
It turned out even better then I hoped it to be.
We arrived Friday night.
Although we were all so tired we still stayed up way too late talking and giggling.
We went shopping for half the day on Saturday but had to cut it short when Brandi's little girl, Presley go sick.
Here she is not sick, luckily it was only a day bug.
She was so cute. She somehow got in her head that I was grandma.
We have no idea how this happened but I know she absolutely loves her grandmas so I'm going to take it as a compliment.

On Sunday we just hung out and went to church.
Brandi's parents surprised us and came to visit.
It was fun to visit with them again, I don't think I've seen them since Mark and I got married.
We got pretty crafty that night; I made a bunch of things for my house on Brandi's cricket machine (I so need one) and Brandi and Jill made flowers out of satin and beads and feathers and then stuck them on head bands.
On Monday we did more shopping and got pedicures.
Such fun!

And then there was Scott.
My perfect angel the entire trip.
He was so patient and calm.
He loved Presley instantly and smiled every time he saw her.
Roudy, Brandi's husband made him laugh so much.
He loved his Aunt Jill and Aunt Brandi the most.
Brandi always knew how to get him to smile and Jill had a great calming effect on him.
It was so sweet in church.
I was holding him but he had to hold onto Jill with one of his hands as if to make sure she wasn't going anywhere.
He was so amazing but that doesn't come as any surprise to us now does it.

To end my trip I got a ticket on the way home.
My first in years.
There was a three mile stretch in the road that was 65mh as apposed to the 80mh before and after.
I never saw the sign and being in a WRX didn't help.
I was so mad after wards.
The cop just had no mercy, the jerk.
Oh well it was a great weekend.

Girl friends are the best! Love the head band you made. They are so cute. Can't wait to see you at the end of June!
