Life is just kinda happening with no camera (that charge) in our possession. Last night we celebrated my neice, Maia's, birthday. It was so much fun. She is just such a cute girl and loves to have all the attention she can grab from anyone willing to give it. Although she didn't know what to do when we were all singing and staring at her. Then she didn't understand the concept of the cake. My sister made this beautiful lady bug cake for her to dig into. She just stared at it like "what do you want me to do?" So her daddy stuck her hand in it and she did not like that. She started flinging her hand, trying to get it off. Then Matt tried putting her hand in her mouth. She liked that and started to grab at stuff. Sadly, right when she was starting to get the hang of it, Scott bumped his head and started to cry (not really because his head was hurt or anything it was because his corn on the cob fell out of his hand) and that started the baby crying chain. When one baby cries, they all start to cry. Maia started crying and got nervous with everyone still staring. Sarah still has a thing or two to teach her about being in the spot light.
Another fun thing that just finished actually was my very first Wilton Cake Decorating Class. It was one night a week for four weeks. Sarah took it with me and we had so much fun. Surprisingly I didn't go crazy eating my product after. Mark ate more then me, believe it or not. This was because I spent so much time decorating that I didn't want to ruin it. Mark was able to take a picture of my last cake with his phone before he dug in. We didn't have much lime to decorate and my frosting that night was way too dry. I still don't quite understand how to get the right consistency of frosting and so the teacher tried to help me but she had me get my thick too thick to do the roses. Oh well it's a carnation instead. Thanks Lisa for giving me the push. I'm not as good as you are yet but maybe someday.

Mark went on his first organized bike ride of the season with his brother, James. It was a hundred miles starting in Salt Lake City going to the marina and then back. They are crazy I know. Mark and James stayed together the whole time but James felt better then Mark did after the ride. Mark has actually had a hurt knee since their ride and now has to stay at home with his boring wife till it starts to feel better. Poor guy.
Scott has just been hanging out with his mom. He is getting his top teeth and it hasn't been too bad since I got those teething tablets (thanks for the advise Sedra). He is getting so close to crawling. He loves to roll around all over the room and so far hasn't gotten into trouble yet. We've had some close calls but so far crisis has been adverted.

glad life is going well for you all! Sad we missed Maia's party... all the babies growing up without us!
your cake turned out GREAT! And I totally understand the frustration of frosting consistency. I had a hard time with the roses as well because of my frosting, at least that's what I blame it on. But you are so creative as soon as you master the frosting, you'll be an awesome cake decorator!!!
