Stay at Home Me

I am a stay at home mom. I love my job. I love being able to be with the cutest baby in the world every day. He is such a good baby. He has his occasional baby freak outs but for the most part is very calm and practical with his crying. I also have a very sweet Eddie dog that keeps me company and safe throughout the day. We are starting to work into a routine with our weeks. Scott likes the routine in the beginning of the week but gets bored with it by Wednesdays and is happy again on Fridays when Daddy is home and he gets lots of attention. I try to sew throughout the week. Scott even joins me at the sewing machine from time to time (when he gets super fussy and I really want to finish what I'm working on). He likes to sit there on my lap and watch the machine go. I also try to keep the house in a little order. Mark and I both are not clean freaks but we do like to live in a semi clean orderly house. I try to cook meals. I really don't enjoy cooking so this is an ever going battle for me. It's hard when there's only 2 of us and anything I make will give us a ton of left overs. We get sick of meals quick that way so I feel the need to come up with something new to make which is over whelming at times. Someday I will look back on this time of my life and think "how great it was to only take care of one child", or "only have to cook for a very unpicky Mark", or look at "life before being a soccer mom" or probably much sooner, "how great life was when Mark wasn't in school and he was working and we were living in our big house in our great ward". Well when that day comes along I want that "feeling sorry for myself" me to know life really is great right now. I love right now and am so happy with my little piece of heaven.
